50 Year Old Murder Mystery Finally Solved This Year
On the 9th of March 1970, Betty Lee Jones’ body was found near the Boulder and Jefferson County border in Colorado. The 23-year-old had been sexually assaulted, strangled and then shot. She was discovered down an embankment on Highway 128.
Her body was sent for an autopsy, confirming the cause of death and an unknown DNA sample was collected, a commendable action ahead of its time.
